Important Update
Dear Warriors,
The unthinkable has happened. Defqon.1 has been cancelled for the remainder of the weekend. Effective on Friday June 26th, the Holy Grounds will close their gates.
Today, we received the news that the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) has issued a code red warning due to extreme heat for at least the next 24 hours. This is the first time the Netherlands has ever issued a code red warning because of high temperatures. Together with the authorities, we are therefore forced to cancel the remaining days of Defqon.1.
We are absolutely devastated by this development. Tens of thousands of dedicated Weekend Warriors are currently staying on the Camping Grounds, many of whom have travelled far and prepared for this weekend for months. Asking them to return home tomorrow is the worst-case scenario, especially with a fully operational festival and everything in place to welcome them.
This is a blow felt on every level. Not only by our visitors, but also by the artists, crew, creatives and everyone else who has worked tirelessly over the past year to bring this edition to life.
To all Weekend Warriors: we've got your back. We understand that you didn't plan for this, and we will do everything we can to help you get home safely. On Friday, the Camping Grounds and part of the Festival Grounds will remain open, without musical programming but with all essential facilities available. This gives you the time to make arrangements for your journey home on Friday. We'll be there every step of the way.
For now, we urge you to rest. Spend time with your friends, make a plan, cry on each other’sshoulders if you need to, get a proper night's sleep, and prepare for the journey tomorrow.

We will refund all tickets. More information regarding additional compensation will be available after the weekend.
This is not the journey we imagined, and the reality has barely sunk in. Nevertheless, it is our duty to take care of you. That is our sacred oath.

I’m at Defqon.1 now
Why is this information shared now and not yesterday?
Yesterday, in cooperation with the local authorities, we made this decision from a safety perspective in order to allow the show to go ahead with a reduced capacity. Now that a Code Red weather warning has officially been issued today, we are even more compelled to prioritize the safety and well-being of our visitors above all else.
What can we expect?
You are welcome to stay at parts of the Holy Grounds and at The Wasted Lands until 03:00 Friday morning.
You will be requested to leave the Holy Grounds on Friday.
While you are here with us, we will make sure to take care of you and your friends.
Which facilities are available?
All facilities at The Wasted Lands will remain available until 03:00 on Friday morning. On Friday, we will ask all visitors to leave the Holy Grounds.
Can we stay the whole weekend?
No. You will be requested to leave Defqon.1 on Friday.
Will there be free consumptions tomorrow?
Yes, consumptions will be available.
My return trip is next week, what to do?
You will need to arrange suitable accommodations on your own, if you have any travel insurance please contact them for additional support.
What is going to happen with the refunds?
Your tickets will be refunded. More information about additional refunds will be available soon.
I have topped up my bracelet with money, how will I get this back?
The same refund policy for the bracelets is still in place. From the 2nd of July you are able to request an early refund.
Are we eglible for extra compensation?
No we won’t be able to cover any extra compensation.
What is going to happen with my merchandise pick-up order?
More information about your merchandise orders will be communicated next week.
My friends are on their way to Defqon.1, what should we do?
Your friends are welcome to pick you up tomorrow, if possible, and get you home safely. Your friends aren’t allowed to enter the Festival grounds or the Campsites.
Can I file a complaint?
Are we still able to visit the RED Stage?
Unfortunately you won’t be able to visit the RED Stage.
I am currently on my way
Can I stay in my booked Defqon.1 accommodations this weekend?
No. Everyone must leave their Defqon.1 accommodation on Friday. You will not be able to stay in your booked accommodation after Friday. If you have booked a hotel or an accommodation which is not on the Defqon.1 terrain you can stay.
I am already travelling from my home country. What should I do now?
Do not come to Defqon.1. You will be turned away upon arrival and will not be allowed to enter or access the festival grounds.
Will you cover the costs of alternative accommodation in the area where I am currently staying?
Unfortunately we won’t be able to cover any additional costs.
I have a weekend or day ticket for an upcoming day
Could Defqon.1 still go ahead if the weather conditions improve?
No the decision is final and will not change.
Tickets
I have a ticket for Defqon.1 2026, what are my options?
Your tickets will be refunded. We are looking into other options that we migh offer. Right now we do not know what that is going to look like.
I did not buy my ticket through an offical reseller/seller, can I still get a refund?
Unfortunately we can only process refunds of tickets/orders that have been bought through official channels.
